ITHACA, N.Y. - The No. 7/8 Big Red will play host to No. 12/11 Ohio State in the opening round of the 2008 NCAA men’s lacrosse tournament, on Saturday, May 10, at Schoellkopf Field at 5 p.m. Cornell heads into the tournament as the Ivy League’s automatic qualifier after finishing the regular season with an 11-3 overall record and a mark of 5-1 in the conference. The Buckeyes (10-5, 4-1), which finished the season as tri-champions of the GWLL, earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament after losing to Notre Dame, 9-2, in the conference championship game. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU (channel 108 in Ithaca; channel 609 on DirecTV; channel 148 on Dish Network) and can be listened to live in the Ithaca area on WHCU-870 AM.
