CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- No. 23 Harvard put the clamps down defensively in the first half and held on after halftime to knock off Cornell 71-60 on Friday evening at Lavietes Pavilion. The Crimson improved to 19-2 (5-0 Ivy), while the Big Red slipped to 7-12 (2-3 Ivy).

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Christine Clark led all scorers with 23 points as part of three double figure scorers from Harvard, who opened the second half on an 8-1 run to push past Cornell 67-57 on Friday evening at Newman Arena. Harvard improved to 10-8 (3-1 Ivy), while the Big Red slipped to 8-10 (2-2 Ivy).

Even though there are just four weeks remaining in the regular season, Cornell will get its first look at Rensselaer and Union this weekend on a trip to New York's Capital District that includes the team's fourth televised game in as many weeks. The Big Red takes on upstart Rensselaer on Friday, then first-place Union on Saturday.
