The Red Key Society is Cornell University's honors society for varsity athletes.  It honors outstanding undergraduate contributors to both Cornell athletics and the Cornell community. The Society equally stresses both academic achievement and the propagation of fellowship and strong loyalty amongst all of the athletes for the Cornell athletic department. The Red Key Society plans and assists in many community service events throughout the year to further its purpose. Membership in the society is limited to juniors and seniors who are selected by the membership, who have displayed tremendous leadership, integrity and responsibility within their varsity program, shown a commitment to academics, and have been involved in the Cornell and/or Ithaca communities.
