All-ECAC and All-Ivy selection in 1970, in addition to being named to the ECAC and NCAA all-tournament teams.  He was voted the most valuable player of the 1970 NCAA championship tournament after scoring a hat trick in the Big Red’s 6-4 victory over Clarkson in the title game.  Lodboa was an All-Ivy second-team pick as a junior.  He played wing and center as a sophomore before being switched to defense his junior year because of his puck-handling and skating ability.  He was the first defenseman to ever become the top Cornell scorer for a season, with 61 points on 24 goals and 37 assists in 1970.  Over this three-year varsity career he accounted for 134 points (52-82).  He was named The Cornell Daily Sun Athlete of the Year for 1969-70.  He was named in 1997 to the 50th Anniversary NCAA Hockey Tournament team and to the ECAC all-time all-star first team.
