Men's Soccer Begins 2010 Campaign This Weekend

ITHACA, N.Y. -- As the Cornell men's soccer team heads into the 2010 season, the challenge is to resist looking at 2010 as a continuation of the 2009 campaign, the first under now second-year head coach Jaro Zawislan. Instead, the focus is on beginning anew, and recognizing last season's results mean nothing in gearing up for the season ahead.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's soccer team has made a switch of teams on the 2010 season schedule, now playing St. Joseph's University instead of facing Buffalo on Sept. 16 at Berman Field.

Soccer Teams Add To Coaching Staffs

ITHACA, N.Y. -- As both teams opened practice for the 2010-11 season, the Cornell men's and women's soccer programs have added a wealth of experience to both teams' coaching staffs. Keith Comfort will join both programs as an assistant coach, while T.J. Love will join the men's coaching staff as an assistant coach.

Cornell To Induct 12 Into Athletic Hall of Fame

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Twelve new members, including five All-Americans and an Olympic medalist, have been selected for induction into the Cornell University Athletic Hall of Fame at the 33rd annual ceremonies to be held October 15, on the Cornell campus. After this year's class is inducted, the membership in the Hall will stand at 522.

Men's Soccer Unveils 2010 Schedule

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Eight home games and three games against teams that made the 2009 NCAA College Cup highlight the 2010 Cornell men's soccer schedule, announced on Thursday by head coach Jaro Zawislan. The Big Red will open the campaign on Sept. 4 at Long Island.

Cornell Soccer's Canadian Adventure

The Cornell men's soccer team is training this week in the Toronto area, spending five days in Canada as part of the program's first foreign tour since the spring of 2006. The Big Red is also playing six matches against top-level Canadian competition, both amateur and professional sides, as the players prepare for the upcoming season. During the trip, selected players will keep fans and supporters informed on their travels through journal updates, posted at CornellBigRed.com.
