ITHACA, N.Y. - The Big Red softball team along with Dick Blood, the Jan Rock-Zubrow '77 Head Coach of Softball, will hold pitching and hitting/throwing clinics in January and February. The pitching clinic that will be held on Jan. 31 will cover beginning and advanced windmill techniques, from snaps to grips. The hitting and throwing clinic, held on Feb. 14, will cover the overhand throw and hitting fundamentals. Drill stations will be run by Cornell coaches and players. All clinics will be held in the Ramin Room, Cornell’s multi-use indoor facility located in Bartels Hall.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Twelve new members, including four All-Americans, have been selected for induction into the Cornell University Athletic Hall of Fame at the 32nd annual ceremonies to be held Friday, Oct. 9, on the Cornell campus. After this year's class is inducted, the membership in the Hall will stand at 510.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- A man who built a distinguished career leading tough men, Marine Corps Lt. Gen. John M. (Jay) Paxton Jr. ‘B.S., ‘73, M. Eng ‘74, will join a notable array of mentors at the Cornell Football Association’s fifth annual Career Day at Schoellkopf this spring. Gen. Paxton is Director for Operations, J-3, of the Joint Staff, which assists the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in accomplishing his mission. He was previously Chief of Staff for Multinational Force Iraq in Baghdad and, before that, commanding general of the First Marine Division.
