TOWSON, Md. -- Robert Cronheim finished ninth among 90 golfers to lead the Big Red to a 14th-place finish at the 2009 Towson Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Prospect Bay Country Club. The meet was the first of the new year for Cornell. The Big Red shot 312-300-318 in its three rounds for a two-day total of 930.
Cronheim shot 75-71-74 on the par-72 course for a three-round total of 220. Kent State's John Hahn scored a 5-under-par 211 to claim medalist honors, leading the team to a 25-shot win in the team championship with an 853. William & Mary placed second with an 878.
The Big Red will next compete at the Princeton Invitational beginning on April 11 in Princeton, N.J.
