ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell senior Michael Howe is one of 55 athletes that have been invited to the Team Canada men's lacrosse selection camp. The camp will determine the roster that will represent Canada at the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships. The tryouts will take place from Friday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 12, at St. Michaels College School in Toronto, Ontario.

Howe played a significant role on the Big Red defense during the 2009 season, playing in 15 games and starting the final five contests of the year. He picked up 15 ground balls on the season and caused six turnovers. He registered a career-high five ground balls vs. Hobart and caused two turnovers vs. Princeton (May 16). He also gave Cornell a boost in the face-off circle, winning 11-of-19 restarts (.579), including an impressive 8-for-12 performance vs. Hofstra in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
