ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell men's and women's swimming and diving teams will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 16 when they travel to Colgate for a dual meet at Lineberry Natatorium. Competition begins at 1 p.m.
The Big Red men hold a 50-27 advantage in the all-time series, including a 179-102 victory a season ago at Teagle Pool. Cornell won all 16 contested events and cruised to the decisive victory. Cornell has posted a 4-2 record, including wins against three of its last four opponents. Colgate enters the meet with an 0-5 mark.
The women, currently sitting at 2-4, have already surpassed last year's win total. The team will meet a Raider squad that brings a 3-3 record into the meet, including a dominant 203-94 victory over Dartmouth. Cornell topped the Big Grene by a similar 190.5-104.5 margin, setting up what is expected to be a close competition. Colgate won last year's meeting 169-129 behind a win and two runner-up finishes by sophomore
Emily Dean. The Big Red leads the all-time series 21-10.
