Gymnastics Places Fourth At GW Invite

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Cornell gymnastics team placed fourth of six teams at George Washington's 2010 Lindsey Ferris, scoring a 186.800 to defeat both William & Mary and Penn. Kerri Lavallee had a second place finish on vault to lead the Big Red individually.
Lavallee scored a 9.750 to lead three top 10 finishers in the event for the Big Red. Both Tiffany Chen and Gabriella Sanguineti tallied 9.600's to tie for eighth among 35 competitors.
Melissa Standridge was fifth on beam after recording a 9.6, while Danielle Scott's 9.550 placed her tied for eighth. On floor, Jennifer Aroughetti and Brittany Howse each scored 9.7's to place seventh, while Maddie Pearsall's 9.325 on bars was good for ninth.
