Gymnastics Tops Cortland In Dual Meet Action

CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Cornell gymnastics team earned a strong dual meet win behind a season-best 189.625 team score, knocking off the host Cortland Dragons on Saturday. Four different gymnasts won events for Cornell, which opens its home season in two weekends.
Emily Santoro had the top vault score with a 9.725 and Maddie Pearsall took the title on the uneven bars with a 9.625. Melanie Standridge captured balance beam with a 9.85 and Brittany Howse was the floor exercise winner with a 9.725.
Cornell will next be in action on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1:00 p.m. when it hosts the Big Red Invitational at Teagle Gymnasium.
