Live Stats For Saturday's Dual Meet
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's and women's swimming and diving teams will honor their seniors while closing out dual meet competition on Saturday when they host Brown at Teagle Pool. Diving begins at 11 a.m., while swimming will commence beginning at 1 p.m.
The men's team has won five straight and will be looking for its seventh win overall when it faces a Bears team it defeated 170-120 a season ago in Briston, R.I. The Big Red leads the all-time series between the schools 22-16 dating all the way back to the 1911-12 campaign. A win would give Cornell at least seven dual meet victories for the seventh time in the last nine years, while a 5-2 Ivy League record would be its best since round robin dual meet competition began in 2007-08.
Cornell will say goodbye to seniors Nick Campbell, Sasha Dobrolioubov and Francisco Lacayo on the men's side and Laura Acchione, Kathryn Aden, Jill Berlin, Emily Caras and Jennifer Park for the women. All will be competing in their final home contests, which also serve as a tuneup for the upcoming Ivy League championships.
The Big Red women fell to Brown a season ago by a score of 179.5-112.5, but will be looking to pull out all the stops to capture its second Ivy League dual meet win of the year. The Bears have a dominant 24-4 edge in the all-time series.
