ITHACA, N.Y. -- Six home games and two contests against teams that advanced to the 2009 NCAA College Cup highlight the 2010 Cornell women's soccer schedule, announced on Monday by head coach Danielle LaRoche. The Big Red will also play three contests in Hamilton, N.Y., including two games at the Colgate Raider Invitational in early September.

The Big Red will open up with a pair of games against Delaware and Delaware State at Berman Field on Labor Day weekend, after which Cornell will spend the rest of the month of September on the road. Cornell will face St. Bonaventure and Seton Hall at the Colgate Raider Invitational on Sept. 10 and 12. Other non-conference contests will see the Big Red at Bucknell and Binghamton before opening up Ivy League play at Columbia on Sept. 24. After facing the Lions, Cornell will stay around New York City to take on Manhattan two days later before finally returning home for an Oct. 1 game against Penn at Berman Field.

Cornell closes out the non-league slate two days later at Colgate for a 1 p.m. contest against the Raiders, who advanced to the NCAA tournament a year ago. The Big Red will then travel to Harvard on Oct. 9 for an 11 a.m. matchup with the Crimson, the reigning Ivy League champion.

The regular season ends with three of the final four games at home, with the Big Red battling Yale on Oct. 16, Princeton on Oct. 30 and Dartmouth on Nov. 7. In between, the Big Red will face Brown on Oct. 24 in Providence, R.I.
