ITHACA, N.Y. – The Big Red men's lacrosse team had four members named All-American, including three first-team selections, when the teams were announced this morning by the USILA. Juniors Rob Pannell and Roy Lang, along with senior Max Feely were named to the first team, while sophomore Jason Noble received honorable mention. Only Cornell and its upstate rival Syracuse placed as many as three individuals on the first-team.

Pannell earns his second consecutive first-team All-America honor after being named a third-team selection as a rookie. A 2011 Tewaaraton Trophy finalist, Pannell is the reigning two-time Ivy League Player of the Year. The junior attackman currently leads the nation in points per game (5.24), ranks second overall in assists per game (2.76), and is 10th overall in goals per game (2.47). He is also the first Big Red player since 2001 to lead Cornell in points, goals and assists in the same season. He finished the year ranked sixth overall in Cornell history for single season assists (47) and seventh overall for single season points (89). He also took a dramatic leap up the Big Red career records lists, ending the 2011 campaign in second place overall for career assists (140), third overall for career points (236) and seventh overall for career goals (96). Pannell also owns the longest point-scoring streak in the nation, having registered at least one point in each of his 52 career games, and he has the most career assists of any active player in Division I men's lacrosse.

Lang earns the first-ever All-America accolade after being named a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection. He was the fourth leading scoring on the team with 27 goals and 36 points overall. A solid two-way player and a crucial part of the Big Red's face-off unit, Lang also picked up 38 ground balls and has caused eight turnovers. Lang also led the team with four game-winning goals, including a dramatic overtime tally against Penn on March 26.

An All-American honorable mention selection a year ago, Feely earns the first first-team accolade of his career after an impressive senior campaign. A first-team All-Ivy honoree, he was one of the top one-on-one defenders in the nation and was the cornerstone of a young defensive unit that ranks 16th in the nation in scoring defense (8.24). He finished the year with 34 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers to his credit.

Like Lang, Noble also earns the first All-America selection of his career with an honorable mention nod. The sophomore defender was named honorable mention All-Ivy earlier this season as a member of one of the toughest defensive units in the conference. Noble currently ranks 21st in the country with 1.76 caused turnovers per game and 42nd overall in ground balls per game (4.18).

The Big Red finished the season with a 14-3 record after falling to Virginia last weekend in the NCAA quarterfinals.
