NEW YORK – The men's hockey team will wearing special jerseys to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project for the second period of tonight's inaugural edition of The Frozen Apple in front of a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden.
The special edition jerseys will feature a light camouflage design behind the familiar red Cornell crest and stripes. Fans will then have an opportunity to win those jerseys in an online auction held in coming weeks on CornellBigRed.com. More information pertaining to the auction will be available on the home page of Cornell Athletics on Monday, Nov. 26.
MSG Network will telecast the game, which starts at 8 p.m., with MSG's John Giannone calling play-by-play and Billy Jaffe as analyst. The game is a rematch of an NCAA Midwest Region first-round game from last season, in which the Big Red secured a 3-2 victory in overtime on a goal by
Rodger Craig to upend the top-seeded Wolverines.
