ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women's polo team will attempt to stay unbeaten when it faces Stanford on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center. At 9-0, the Big Red will be attempting to close out an unbeaten fall semester.
Cornell holds a 5-0 advantage in the all-time series with Stanford, though the teams haven't met since 2002 when the Big Red won 34-2. Cornell has outscored the Cardinal 104-24 in the previous five meetings.
The Big Red is coming off a title in the William S. Field Invitational on Nov. 18 after defeating Massachusetts, Kentucky and Virginia. The Big Red holds six total wins with a pair of triumphs against UConn, Kentucky and Virginia, Cornell's traditional rivals on the national scene.
The women have outscored opponents 236-68 during its 9-0 start, helping improve head coach
David Eldredge's record to 433-119-17 record (.776) with the program. Cornell is a perfect 6-0 at home this season.
