ITHACA, N.Y. – The Big Red field hockey team placed four student-athletes on the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. Cornell has had at least four players earn the honor in seven of the past eight seasons. To be eligible for the All-Academic Squad a student-athlete must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year, while the National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that have achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.
