Cornell Lacrosse Teams to Help Fight Breast Cancer at Weekend Games

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell lacrosse teams will be raising funds for breast cancer awareness at their games this Saturday by selling T-shirts for $10 apiece. All proceeds will go directly to the Finger Lakes Cancer Resource Center.

Start with the men's lacrosse game against Harvard at 1 p.m., the T-shirts will be sold and collection boxes will be present at the gates for donations.

For the women's game at 5 p.m. against No. 10/6 Dartmouth, Cornell players will be wearing pink jerseys and kilts. Both teams will be wearing pink shoelaces.

During both games, programs will also contain special inserts for fans with helpful information about of breast cancer.

The Cornell men are 7-1 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in the Ivy League. The Big Red women's team is 7-2 – its best start since 2006 – and has been ranked nationally in the top 20 for the last month.
