ITHACA, N.Y. -- Seven Cornell gymnasts have been named Scholastic All-Americans by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) it was announced today. In all, 471 student-athletes around the country earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
Cornell's McKenna Archer (3.70 in biological sciences), Ashley Maher (3.52 in applied economics and management), Mackenzie Sato (3.79 in communicaton), Maia Vernacchia (3.64 in food science), Tiffany Chen (3.92 in biological sciences), Bethany Neczypor (4.00 in biological sciences) and Melanie Standridge (3.52 in chemistry and chemical biology) each qualified for honors. Cornell has now had at least three Scholastic All-Americans every year since 1997.
