ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell's three seniors earned five top seven individual finishes on Senior Day in helping the team to the 2013 Big Red Invitational team title on Saturday afternoon at Teagle Gymnasium. The Big Red scored a 190.625 on the afternoon to outdistance Brockport (187.250), Cortland (186.775) and Ithaca (180.125).

McKenna Archer had the top score on both vault (9.750) and beam (9.650), while classmate
Sarah Hein was second on vault (9.650) and fith on bars (9.625). Senior
Ashley Maher placed seventh with a 9.425 on bars to round out the seniors' impressive efforts.
Despite having to count three falls, Cornell surpassed 190.000 for the fourth time in five meets so far this season. The team was aided by a win ob bars by juniors
Melanie Jorgensen and Lexi Schupp after their dual 9.8's, the highest scores given out on the afternoon. In all, Cornell went 1-4 on vault, had four of the top five scores on bars and three of the top four on beam.
As a team, the Big Red had the highest scores on vault (48.275), bars (48.300) and floor (47.400).
Cornell will be back in action again on Sunday, Feb. 17 when it visits Towson for a 1 p.m. meet. Ursinus and Temple will also compete as part of the quad meet.
