ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell gymnastics team welcomes four student-athletes who will compete for the Big Red beginning in the fall of 2013. The Class of 2017 will help Cornell build on a successful run that has featured nine consecutive finishes in the top two at the Ivy Classic (four titles), three top two finishes at the ECAC meet in the last five years and three top three finishes at the USAG Collegiate Nationals in the last six seasons.
Alexandria Bourgeois * 5-4 * Hazel Crest, Ill. (Walter Payton College Preparatory HS/3D Gymnastics)
Bourgeois earned a spot at the 2012 Level 10 nationals, finishing in sixth place on vault and 11th in the all-around while competing for 3D Gymnastics. She was a cheerleader for three years at Walter Payton College Preparatory HS.
Krystin Chiellini * 5-3 * Riverview, Fla. (Newsome HS/Golden City Gymnastics)
Chiellini was a Level 10 state and regional qualifier in her final two seasons of high school at Newsome HS while competing for Golden City Gymnastics. A team captain in her final season, she was a Level 9 state and regional champion in 2011 and finished second at the Eastern National championships later that year. She was named the team's Fantastic Role Model award in 2012.
Elana Molotsky * 5-0 * Mount Laurel, N.J. (Lenape HS/Jersey Jets Gymnastics)
A two-year captain of the Lenape HS gymnastics team, Molotsky has been a member of the U.S. national Maccabiah team. She was part of a silver medal-winning group in 2009 and was also picked for the team in 2013. Molotsky was a two-time regional qualifier and competed at Level 10 for six years.
Audrey Ryals * 5-3 * Bellevue, Wash. (Bellevue HS/Gymnastics East)
A seven-time USAG national championship qualifier, Ryals finished second in the all-around at the 2011 and 2012 Level 10 Region 2 championships. She was a regional all-star in 2011 who won the Level 9 regional all-around title in 2009.
