Gymnastics Scores Season High, Places Second At Ken Anderson Memorial Invite

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Cornell gymnastics team posted a season high score to finish second at Temple's Ken Anderson Memorial Invitational on Saturday afternoon at McGonigle Hall. The Big Red's team score of 191.025 was behind only the host Owls (191.150) and ahead of Penn (188.350), West Chester (187.125) and Ursinus (184.225).

Lexi Schupp surpassed the 38.000 mark in the all-around with a 38.050, her personal second-best score.

Melanie Jorgensen and Lexi Schupp each surpassed 9.85 in finishing 1-2 on bars, with Jorgensen winning with her 9.875. Elana Molotsky also placed seventh with a strong 9.675 performance. Mackenzie Sato was the other event winner, as her 9.8 on floor tied for the top mark. Schupp and Krystin Chiellini finished tied for sixth with dual 9.675.

On vault, Sara Schupp was the top finisher in third with a 9.600, while Jorgensen capped her day with a fifth-place finish on beam with a 9.600.
