NWHL's Riveters sign Jenny Scrivens (Niesluchowski) ’10

ITHACA, N.Y. — Goaltender Jenny Scirvens (Niesluchowski) '10 has signed with the New York Riveters of the National Women's Hockey League, the league announced Tuesday.

Scrivens played three seasons between the pipes for the Big Red, posting a 15-28-2 record in 52 games. She ranks no. 6 all-time among goaltenders at Cornell with a .903 career save percentage, finishing the 2008-09 season, her final with the Big Red, with a save percentage of .916. Over her three seasons, Scrivens hit the 30-save mark on 19 occasions, making a career-high 53 saves against then-no. 20 Harvard in the 2008 ECAC Hockey quarterfinals.

Before starting at Cornell, Scrivens was named the 2005 goaltender of the year after leading her Cal Select U19 AA team to a national championship.

The wife of Edmonton Oilers goaltender Ben Scrivens '10, she previously worked at the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton, Alberta as the Director of Communications.

Goaltender Lauren Slebdonick '14 and defenseman Alyssa Gagliardi '14 have also signed NWHL contracts, both with the Boston Pride. Current senior defenseman Cassandra Poudrier was drafted by the Connecticut Whale earlier this year.
