BOSTON, Mass. AND ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- The men's cross country team split squads this weekend and traveled to the Battle in Beantown in Boston and the Harry F. Anderson Invitational in Rochester. The contingent that competed in Boston earned an impressive fourth place on Friday while the group that traveled to Rochester took first.
At the Battle in Beantown, one of the premiere cross country events of the season, the Cornell men finished with 93 points, good for fourth among a very competitive field of 21 teams.

Ben Rainero led the way for the Big Red, placing fifth with an 8K time of 24:04.0. Classmate
Connor Herr was next for Cornell in 11
th at 24:17.0. Sophomore
Dominic DeLuca continued to be one of the Big Red's top young runners, placing 20
th with a time of 24:28.3.

The group that competed at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan took first out of 24 teams, capturing four of the top six individual spots and coming away with 25 points. Junior
Zack Israel came in first overall, crossing the line in 25:16.6. Senior Sam Baxter was close behind in second at 25:27.9. In fifth was freshman Tomas Reimer with a time of 25:35.6, and right on his heels was senior
George Oliver in sixth at 25:39.0.
