CANTON, N.Y. — Freshman
Alex Jung won his match at the No. 7 position, but that was the only point mustered by the men's squash team on Saturday in an 8-1 loss to St. Lawrence at Robie Squash Courts.
Jung won in four sets to improve to 3-2 on the season, but St. Lawrence (7-2) — ranked seventh in the nation by the College Squash Association and a national finalist last year — had already swept the first two rotations to clinch the match. Twelfth-ranked Cornell (3-4) has now lost five consecutive matches to St. Lawrence, but still holds an 8-5 lead in the all-time series.
The Big Red returns to action next weekend with matches against Drexel and George Washington at the Yale Round Robin.
