WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- The Cornell women's gymnastics tuned up for next weekend's ECAC Championship with a dual meet win at West Chester, posting a 192.350 to hold off the host Golden Rams (192.000) on Saturday afternoon,
Cornell's 48.425 on beam in the final rotation was enough to surpass West Chester's 47.275 on floor to pick up the dual meet win. Freshman
Kaitlin Green's 9.850 on beam, one of two event wins for her on the afternoon, spearheaded the Big Red charge, while classmates
Lyanda Dudley (third, 9.725) and
Malia Mackey (fifth, 9.675) also placed in the top five in the event.
Green's 9.775 on bars also topped the field, while
Elana Molotsky finished tied for second with a 9.700. Dudley was the squad's top finisher on floor (second, 9.775) and went 9.700 on vault (third) for a 38.850 all-around score.
Dudley's 9.775 on floor was just ahead of teammate
Julohn Teixeira in third (9.725).
Alicia Bair posted the team's top vault score (9.725) to place second overall, while Dudley placed third and
Allison Franz was fifth (9.675).
