COACHES' CORNER
"The crew had an honest run on the course, worked hard, and were competitive. This was a great foundation to start our spring season from, and with some basic improvements and continued hard work, we can have a great year." – Todd Kennett '91, Spirit of '57 Director of Rowing/Head Coach of Heavyweight Rowing

"It was exciting to travel with Cornell Rowing to the 53rd Head of the Charles Regatta and gain further insight into the proud tradition that is Cornell Rowing. It was very valuable to see the gold standard of women's international and collegiate rowing on display in the Championship 8+ event. While we did not field an 8+, the five athletes who competed were exposed to the standard which they will have to meet in order to be competitive in the spring. The athletes embraced the idea of training through the regatta, recognizing that this is the time to lay foundations, rather than specifically prepare for racing." – Barney Williams, Interim Staley Head Coach of Women's Rowing

"Lights raced both 8 and 4 in the near perfect conditions in Boston on the Charles River. We had similar outcomes in both crews being just 10 seconds off the leaders across the three-mile upstream race course.  We look to lean on opportunities this week as we prepare for the Princeton Chase. Thanks to the huge support of family and fans this weekend." – Chris Kerber, Henry E. Bartels '48 Head Coach of Men's Lightweight Rowing

UP NEXT
