Eason's up-to-date results
As a Junior (2017-18)
• Did not compete in any track meets.
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Participated in nine meets for Cornell as a sophomore, earning three top 10 finishes in the pole vault.
• A collegiate best vault of 14’7.25” was good for fourth place at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet.
• Also finished eighth at the Marc Deneault Memorial (14’3.25”) and 10th at the Robert J. Kane Invitational (13’9.25”).
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Competed in nine meets in his first year at Cornell and finished in the top 10 in the pole vault in seven of those meets.
• Used a personal best of 14’3.25” to finish fourth at the Robert J. Kane Invitational and used the same mark to earn a second place finish at the Cornell Outdoor Upstate Challenge.
Before Cornell
• Eason was a dominant pole vaulter in the Philadelphia area, winning the Pennsylvania District XII title twice.
• He was also a four-time Philadelphia Catholic League champion, two-time Pennsylvania State medalist and eight-time PCL All-Catholic selection.
• He holds the pole vault record at La Salle College High School, where he was also a member of the National Honors Society and Ski and Snowboarding Club. • Eason is also a second degree black belt in martial arts.
Personal
• Joseph Edgar Eason III is the son of Ed and Tammy Eason.
• He has a younger brother, Mitchell, and is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
