As a Sophomore (2012-13)
Pippy had more playing time in her sophomore season, seeing action in three games. She earned her first career shutout in a 9-0 victory over Colgate in Lynah Rink on Nov. 16, and she allowed just two goals against the Raiders on the road the next day. Pippy’s first appearance this season came in relief of Stefannie Moak, and she allowed no goals in more than 30 minutes as Cornell came from behind to beat Quinnipiac on Nov. 3.

As a Freshman (2011-12)
Pippy has spent the season as the Big Red’s third goaltender, backing up Amanda Mazzotta and Lauren Slebodnick. Against Union on Jan. 6, Pippy made her Big Red debut, playing the last half of the third period. In that contest, she made three saves and did not allow a goal in nearly 11 minutes of action.

Prior to Cornell
Pippy played the 2010-2011 season with the Pittsburgh Junior Penguins. She is a goalie who has competed at the USA Hockey National Selection Camps on a number of occasions in the summer. Her credentials stretch beyond her technical prowess in the crease as she began her acting career at age 9 and is currently starring in the Lifetime television drama "Army Wives."

Personal
Katelyn Mary Pippy is the daughter of John and Kathy Pippy. Her father played football at Army and her mother was a swimmer at Army. Her dad is also a state senator in Pennsylvania. Her uncle Justin played football at Boston College. She is enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences where she will study Theatre.
