Bell continued to have great success for the Big Red in his third year with the team, advancing to the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C. in the long jump. There, he placed 17th to just miss qualificiation for the NCAA Outdoor Championship. Earlier in the season, Bell took 10th in the triple jump at the Indoor Heps but came in second in the long jump to score eight points for Cornell. He was third in the long jump at the Indoor IC4As and sixth at the Penn Relays in the Championship section. Also outdoors, he took 10th in the triple jump and second in the long jump at the Heps with a personal-best long jump of 24' 9". He was then 17th in the triple jump but won the long jump at the Outdoor IC4As.

He also just missed scoring in the triple jump, reaching 46' 10 3/4" and taking seventh. At the Indoor IC4As, Bell placed 12th in the long jump and 28th in the triple jump. During the indoor season,  a jump of 24' 4 1/2" put him in 10th place in school history.

As a Freshman (2010-11)
Bell competed in a variety of events but narrowed his repertoire down to the two horizontal jumps. The beginning of Bell’s indoor season got off to a slow start, but the pieces started coming together as the indoor HEPS approached. Bell won the long jump at the HEPS with a person, becoming a Heptagonal Champion, and also placed second in the triple jump.

He continued to improve during the outdoor season as he set new personal records in both events all the way to 24’9 and 49’9. His long jump mark made him the new Cornell freshman record holder. Bell’s long jump and triple jump marks qualified him for both the NCAA’s and the USATF Junior Championships where he finished sixth in the long jump.
