At Cornell
2012-13: Eifert did not compete for the Big Red as a junior.
2011-12: Eifert compiled an 18-9 record as a sophomore, including four wins by fall. He placed first at 149 pounds at the Binghamton Open and followed with a fifth place finish at the Body Bar Invitational. Eifert also took eighth at the Southern Scuffle. He was awarded the Graham Morin Eleventh Man Award at the end of the season after wrestling in seven duals for the Big Red at 157 and 165 pounds.
2010-11: Eifert registered a record of 18-8 in his first season with the Big Red at 157 and 165 pounds. He started his freshman campaign off with five victories at the Binghamton Open, resulting in a fifth place finish. A week later, he again made the podium at the Body Bar Invitational, this time earning fourth at 157 pounds. Eifert then picked up valuable points for Cornell at the Southern Scuffle with his three wins, including a major decision. He notched third at the New York State Championships before stepping into the Big Red lineup for several duals. He defeated Matt Kaylor of Binghamton and Pat LaBuz of Brown at 157. He also moved up to 165 pounds because of an injury to Justin Kerber and pinned All-American PJ Gillespie of Hofstra and handled NCAA Qualifier and EIWA runner up Eren Civan of Columbia. Eifert was the co-winner of the Graham Morin Eleventh Man Award at the year end banquet.
Prior to Cornell
A three-time state champion at Mason HS, Eifert was a four-time state place-winner. He wrestled at 103, 125, 135 and 140 pounds, capturing individual titles as a freshman, junior and senior. Eifert was part of a state championship team as a freshman, and later served as team captain in his final year.
Personal
Craig Arthur Eifert is the son of Keith and Pam Eifert and has a younger sister. He is majoring in hotel and restaurant management in the School of Hotel Administration.
