2011-12
Mesko went 4-1 at the New York State Intercollegiate Tournament to take third place. He notched two wins by fall including a pin in 1:03 in his third place bout against Columbia’s Shane Hughes. Mesko also wrestled at the Body Bar Invitational. 

2010-11
Mesko competed at the Binghamton Open, Body Bar Invitational and Mat Town Open at 184 pounds in his first season with the Big Red.  Mesko earned his first collegiate victory when he pinned Nathan Dick of Lock Haven in the second period.

Prior to Cornell 
Mesko was a district semifinalist in each of his final two seasons, finishing second in 2008 and third in 2009 at Honesdale HS. A four-year letter winner in wrestling while competing all the way from 125 to 171 pounds, Mesko also ws a two-year letter winner in football at fullback and linebacker.

Personal
Peter Joseph Mesko is the son of Gary and Debra Mesko and has an older brother. His brother, Gary, played football at Columbia. Mesko is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
