At Cornell
2012-13: Peppelman went 19-14 as a junior, posting eight total bonus wins with five falls. Peppelman finished seventh at the EIWA championships in 2013, as wel las sixth at the New York State Intercollegiate Championships and eighth at the Southern Scuffle.

2011-12: Peppelman compiled a 28-17 overall record last season while wrestling at 165 and 174 pounds. He opened the season with a third place finish at the Binghamton Open and followed with a fifth place showing at the Body Bar Invitational the next weekend. Peppelman went 5-2 at the Southern Scuffle to take seventh and was second at the New York State Intercollegiate championships at 174 pounds. With a 4-2 mark, Peppelman placed fourth at the EIWA tournament to qualify for his first NCAA tournament. At the NCAAs, Peppelman opened with a 5-2 win over Northwestern’s Pierce Harger. Peppelman earned the Russ Martin Award for Outstanding Freshman along with teammate Chris Villalonga at the team’s annual banquet. 

2010-11: Peppelman competed in two tournaments at 165 pounds, and placed in both before injuries ended his season. He went 6-1 at the Binghamton Open to take fifth place at the event. Three of those victories were by bonus—a technical fall, a pin and a major decision. He also defeated NCAA qualifier and EIWA runner up Eren Civan of Columbia by the score of 5-0. At the Body Bar Invitational, Peppelman again registered a pin, technical fall and major decision en route to a sixth place showing.

Prior to Cornell
Peppelman, a three-time Pennsylvania state champion (and four time finalist), was ranked as one of the top four recruits in the country. He was a three-time champion at the Beast of the East tournament, one of two wrestlers to ever win the Powerade four times and a two-time Super 32 winner. Peppelman was chosen as a member of the Wrestling USA/Cliff Keen 2010 High School Dream Team and to the Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic. He was undefeated for the final two years of his high school career and had an overall 173-7 record. His brother, Walter, wrestles at Harvard.

Personal
Marshall Ward Peppelman is the son of Walter and Kathy Peppelman and has three brothers. His older brother, Walter, wrestled at Harvard. Peppelman is majoring in applied economics and management.
