Biography

As a fifth-year senior (2016-17)
• Earned honorable mention All-Ivy League accolades.
• Posted an 11-7 record, including 4-3 in dual meets, and represented the Big Red at the EIWA championships at heavyweight.
• Reached the podium at EIWAs, taking seventh despite having to injury default out of a second round match.
• Took second at the Mat Town Open, injury defaulting out of the championship match.
• Earned a 9-7 win over No. 12 Ross Larson during Cornell's near-upset at Oklahoma State.

As a senior (2015-16)
• Scott did not see varsity action.

As a junior (2014-15)
• Scott missed the entire season with an injury and did not compete.

As a sophomore (2013-14)
• Scott was injured and did not compete in 2013-14.

As a freshman (2012-13)
• Scott earned significant time due to an injury to 2012 NCAA champion Steve Bosak and made  the most of it, posting a 17-7 record in his first season.
• Included was a 3-1 mark in dual meet action.
• He recorded wins in duals against Binghamton, Drexel and Oklahoma and impressively won the New York State Intercollegiate Championship and finished second at the Binghamton Open at 184 pounds.
• Later in the season, Scott placed second at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Tournament.
 
Prior to Cornell
• Scott is a two-time New York State champion and four-time state place winner.
• He was a two-time NHSCA All-American and had a high school record of 231-18.
• Scott competed with the Finger Lakes Wrestling Club for the 2011-12 season.
• He placed first at the Cleveland State Open, and fifth at the Edinboro Open.
 
Personal
• Craig Walter Scott is the son of Ellen and Walter Scott.
• His twin brother, Owen, also wrestles for Cornell.
• Majoring in natural sciences, he is a student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
