As a senior (2015-16)
• Captured the 2016 NCAA title at 133 pounds with a 7-6 win over Iowa's Cory Clark in the finals..
• Became Cornell’s sixth four-time NCAA All-American (127th in NCAA history), joining Kyle Dake, Travis Lee, Dustin Manotti, Troy Nickerson and Cam Simaz.
• Named Ivy League Wrestler of the Year for the second time while becoming the sixth Big Red wrestler to be a four-time first-team All-Ivy pick.
• His win by fall in :21 over defending national champion Cody Brewer of Oklahoma in the NCAA semifinals was the second-fastest by a Cornell wrestler at the NCAA championships behind only a :14 fall by Troy Nickerson over Oklahoma’s Joey Fio at the 2009 tournament.
• Garrett finished his senior season 37-0, matching Kyle Dake’s 2012-13 campaign for the most wins without a loss in a season in Cornell history.
• Matched Troy Nickerson and Kyle Dake for a Cornell record 20 wins in NCAA tournament competition.
• Became 10th four-time EIWA champ (fourth Cornellian) with romp through championship tournament, winning all four matches with bonus points and earning both the Coaches Award (Most Outstanding Wrestler) and the Sheridan Award (most career points scored at the championship).
• Ended his career with a 149-12 career record, good for second on the school’s career wins list.
• Was the sixth Cornell wrestler with at least 30 wins in all four varsity seasons.
• His .925 win percentage ranks eighth all-time at Cornell, his 92 career bonus wins ranks second and his 3.675 dominance ranking sits seventh.
• Won 25 of his 37 matches by bonus points, including 20 of the 24 matches against unranked opponents.
• Won titles at the Binghamton Open, New York State Intercollegiates, Last Vegas Invitational, Southern Scuffle and EIWA tournaments.
• Moved to No. 1 in the country after a 14-9 win over then-No. 1 Cody Brewer of Oklahoma in the finals of the Last Vegas Invitational.
• Closed his career with 38 consecutive wins.
As a junior (2014-15)
• Captured his third All-America citation after finishing fifth at the 2015 NCAA championships, going 6-2 over three days at the championship.
• Defeated Michigan's Conor Youtsey 9-3 in the fifth-place match while also winning major decision victories over seeded wrestlers from Oregon State, Edinboro and Penn State.
• Claimed his third EIWA title, including topping NCAA qualifiers Scott Parker of Lehigh in the semifinals and American’s David Terao in the finals for the second straight year.
• Was given the EIWA’s Fletcher Award for most career points scored at the championship.
• Finished the season 34-5, including an 0-1 mark when moving up to 133.
• His 22 bonus points ranked second on the team.
• Won the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational for the second straight year and placed second at the Southern Scuffle.
• Posted three bonus point wins at the Journeymen Northeast Duals, including major decision victories over NCAA qualifiers Jake DeAngelo (N.C. State) and Zeke Moisey (West Virginia).
• Was 13-0 against EIWA opponents, 11-3 against nationally ranked wrestlers and 15-2 in dual meets.
• Was a first team All-Ivy selection in 2015 after going 3-0 against conference opponents.
As a sophomore (2013-14)
• The 2014 national runner-up at 125 pounds in 2014, Garrett earned his second straight NCAA All-America honor and a second consecutive EIWA title.
• The unanimous Ivy League and EIWA Wrestler of the Year closed the season with a 35-2 overall record with his only two losses coming to eventual national champion Jesse Delgado of Illinois.
• His 3-2 loss in the finals snapped a career-long 28-match win streak. Garrett was a perfect 3-0 against No. 3 Nico Megaludis of Penn State.
• A first-team All-Ivy League pick, Garrett won titles at the Jonathan Kaloust Binghamton Open, the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and the Southern Scuffle.
• The sophomore became the sixth straight Cornellian to win EIWA’s 125-pound crown and just the fourth to win titles in each of his first two seasons when he defeated American’s David Terao in the finals.
• Garrett began the season with a 6-1 overtime victory over Oklahoma’s Jarrod Patterson at the NWCA All-Star Classic and continued with an 11-1 dual meet record and 21 bonus point wins, a mark that was third on the team.
As a freshman (2012-13)
• The Ivy League and EIWA Wrestler of the Year, Garrett broke the record for wins in a season en route to a third-place finish at the NCAA championships.
• He finished his freshman campaign with a 43-5 record and titles at the EIWA Championships, the Binghamton Open and the New York State Intercollegiates.
• He also placed second at the Las Vegas Invitational and third at the Southern Scuffle.
• He earned 27 bonus wins, including 11 during a 16-2 dual meet season.
• Garrett opened his rookie campaign with a 17-match win streak, with all four of his losses coming to wrestlers ranked in the top four at 125 pounds.
• He went 5-0 in Ivy League competition and earned first-team All-Ivy.
• He was the Big Red’s 13th Rookie of the Year recipient and the first since Kyle Dake in 2010.
• On Nov. 19, the Big Red rookie was named EIWA Co-Wrestler of the Week after winning the New York State Intercollegiate Wrestling tournament where he was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler.
• Garrett wowed the crowd at his first NCAAs, knocking off the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds on the way to his third-place effort.

• Garrett is a two-time California State champion at 103 and 112 pounds.
• He is a four-time freestyle and Greco Roman All-American from 2009-2011.
• Garrett was a Senior National Champion in 2011 at 112 pounds.

• Nahshon Garrett is the son of Golden Sizemore and Alvin Garrett.
• He has two brothers and four sisters.
• His twin brother, Isaac, is a dancer for the Eugene Ballet Company.
