Biography
As a junior (2015)
• Sade did not see varsity action, though he played on the junior varsity.
Prior to Joining the Football Team
• Sade was a two-year member of the Big Red men's ice hockey program.
• He did not see action in any regular-season games as a freshman in 2013-14, but did play in the Big Red's 6-0 victory over the Russian Red Stars in an exhibition on at Lynah Rink.
• Missed the 2014-15 campaign due to injury.
Prior to Cornell
• Sade joined the Big Red after helping the New Jersey Hitmen win the Eastern Junior Hockey League championship.
• He had three goals and 14 assists for 17 points in 44 games from the blue line, matching his point total from the 2011-12 campaign he spent with the North American Hockey League’s New Mexico Mustangs.
• He was named the Mustangs’ Rookie of the Year and was also placed on the NAHL All-Star team.
• Sade graduated from St. Albans High School in Washington, D.C., where he also competed in football and track & field — helping set a school record in the 4x100 relay.
• He was also presented the Headmaster’s Award in 2011 for best exemplifying the core values of the school.
Personal
• Eric Parmelee Sade is the son of Jon Sade and Diane Hartley, and he has an older brother who competes with the rowing team at Boston University.
• His father, Jon, was on the track and field team at Princeton from 1974-78.
• His aunt, Jennifer Sade ’75, attended Cornell.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
