As a senior (2018-19)

• Scored in the 200 free at the Ivy League Championship, placing 16th overall with a best mark of 1:38.89.
• Swam the second leg of two separate 800 free relays that posted top eight career times at Cornell.
• Took home the top spot in both the 200 and 500 free races at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational while earning fourth in the 100 free.
• Won the 200 free in a dual meet against Yale.
• Took first in the 500 free in a win over St. Bonaventure.
 

As a junior (2017-18)

• Qualified for the A final in the 200 free at the Ivy League Championship, placing eighth with a best time of 1:37.60, good for No. 3 all-time at Cornell.
• Swam the fourth-fastest 500 free time in Big Red history at the Ivy meet, placing 20th in 4:25.79.
• Scored in the 100 free, placing 24th with a best time of 45.63.
• Was the second leg of the Big Red's 800 free relay team at the championship, helping Cornell to the fourth-fastest time in school history with a 6:34.73.
• Won the 200 free on Senior Day against Brown.
• Swam lifetime bests in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 free during the season.
 

As a sophomore (2016-17)

• Scored in both the 200 free and 500 free at the Ivy League Championships, placing 14th in both events.
• Had the fastest times on the team in both events during the campaign.
• His 1:38.45 in the 200 free is the third-fastest time in school history, while his 4:28/88 in the 500 free sits No. 7 all-time at Cornell.
• Was part of the 800 free relay squad that took fifth at Ivies, recording the fourth-fastest mark in Big Red history (6:37.82).
• Won the 200 free at the Akron Zippy Invitational.
• Had seven other top four individual finishes on the year.
 

As a freshman (2015-16)

• Scored in the 200 free (18th, 1:39.12) at the 2016 Ivy League Championship, posting the fifth-fastest time in the event in school history.
• Swam the second leg of the 800 free relay team that posted the seventh-fastest time in school history (6:42.45).
• Finished 24th in the 500 free at the Ivy meet (4:31.77).
• Won the 200 free at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational while placing second in the 500 free.
• Had the fastest time on the team for the year in the 200 free and the third-fastest in the 500 free.
• Competed in all seven dual meets for the Big Red as a rookie.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Competed for four seasons on the swimming team at University Prep HS.
• Qualified for junior nationals in the 400 free.
• Part of relay teams that set national age group records in the 200 medley (13-14 boys) and the 400 free (15-16 boys).
• Ranked among the top 10 recruits in the state according to collegeswimming.com.
 

Personal

• Koppany Kolyvek is the son of Laszlo Kolyvek and Angnes Hunyady and has an older brother and younger sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
