The Cornell University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), established in 1995, is comprised of two team members from each of our 37 teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has a threefold purpose.
Â
- To serve as an active communications link between the student-athletes and the athletics administration.
- Is charged with encouraging unity, common purpose, and camaraderie among teams and all student-athletes in the department.
- It seeks to promote and support athletics on the community, state and national levels.
Â
Members of SAAC provide valuable insight on legislation that governs their sports at the conference and national levels. Members are also able to develop leadership skills among their peers and across campus. Student-athletes additionally participate in university, departmental, educational and other special events. The SAAC advisor is Dr. Carmen M. Rogers.Â
