Teagle Hall
TeagleHall

Teagle Hall houses training and competition venues for Cornell swimming, rowing and gymnastics.

The six-lane exhibition pool is equipped with two one-meter Duraflex diving boards and two three-meter Duraflex boards. The swim teams also use a second four-lane, 20-yard warm-up pool, and a trampoline for divers. There are bleachers for 950 spectators.

Indoor rowing tanks simulate on-the-water rowing conditions. A separate ergometer room completes Teagle training space for the women's and men's crews.

The women's gymnastics team trains and competes in a 9,000-square-foot gymnasium, which is one of the finest collegiate gymnastics training facilities in the League and in the Northeast. TThe gym includes a state of the art loose foam and resi-pit system that was installed in 1996. Gymnasts utilize the pit in conjunction with all four Olympic events. This facility includes an 80-foot vaulting runway, a 270-square-foot beam and vault area, a 45-foot spring tumbling run and a full set of bars (converts to single rail) mounted over the pit. A 30-foot Tumbl-Trak with a 14-foot resi-pit was also installed.

Teagle Hall was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Teagle (Class of 1899), and also houses coach and administrative offices, a Cornell Fitness Center, physical education offices, and an equipment issue room. It is connected to Barton Hall by way of an underground tunnel.
