The 2011 Big Red
The Big Red finished the season with a 14-3 record after falling to Virginia last weekend in the NCAA quarterfinals. Cornell won its ninth straight Ivy League title and became the first school to go unbeaten in the regular season followed by winning the conference tournament title. Rob Pannell earned the USILA's Lt. Raymond Enners Award as the Division I national player of the year and repeated as the Jack Turnbull Award winner as the Division I national attackman of the year. The Big Red won its NCAA first round game over Hartford before falling to Virginia in the national quarterfinals. Joining Pannell on the All-Ivy first team was midfielder Roy Lang and defender Max Feely, while attackman David Lau was named second team. The defensive duo of Jason Noble and Mike Bronzino are both honorable mention All-Ivy selections.
